UltraDefrag — another Japanese superhero?

Remember Ultraman, one of the older superheroes?  Maybe not…

But UltraDefrag may be the hero you need to tidy up your hard drive and speed up your computer.  It’s open source and freeware.

For an objective review of UltraDefrag (and you should always check reviews before trusting such a powerful program), check here.  It seems to do the job better than the defrag utility included with Windows XP for this reviewer (an IT pro calling his blog The Mad Fatter).

You need to defragmentize your computer’s hard drive every so often, to keep portions of related files grouped together.  That will speed up your access to them and speed up your computer’s response.
