Yammer is for Enterprise Microblogging by employees.
“Yammer aims to encourage people employed within companies to interact with one another around the projects, tasks and problems that involve them during the working day. Individuals sign up using their corporate email address and invite others to join. From that point, they can use the tool to ask questions of other members of the group, such as: “What are you working on today?” Once that question has been answered, other members can join the thread. Old conversation streams are stored and everyone has the option of a profile. It’s a bit like a corporate Twitter.” (from Revolution Magazine)

You need something from your work computer while you’re at home… or vice versa.
If you plan ahead, and have Windows XP Professional on one computer, you can save yourself a trip and contact the other computer directly.
Instructions are at Internet Fixes.

For the technically advanced (and those who just can’t leave the office behind), ShowMyPC combines VNC remote access technology with an open-source SSH forwarding client to provide you with the option to allow other users to view and control your desktop. The remote user needs to have the same ShowMyPC software and can access your computer with just a password (no IP address needed). The temporary session password is automatically generated when you start the viewing session and must be provided to the remote user by email, phone or other means. If you have access to your own SSH server, you can use it instead of the one provided. This is an open source Remote PC access project, an alternative to subscription based sites like WebEx or Gotomypc. You will also need OpenSSH or WinSSHD or a comparable program to do this without an SSH server elsewhere hosting the service.
Use at your own risk.

The Microsoft Shared Computer Toolkit for XP will allow you to lock down your computer so others can’t make changes, run certain programs, or even limit time on the computer. Handy for those who must share a computer with others in a dorm room or household.
