Ever look at a page of a language and wonder just exactly what language it is?

Polyglot 3000 is an automatic language identifier that quickly recognizes the language of any text, phrase or even single words. It is available for Windows 95/98/NT/ME/2000/XP.  It’s supposed to recognize over 400 languages.

Gate2Home to type in any language

So, you’re in another country, don’t type that well in the local language, and need to check something on the Internet?

ClifNotes has a review of a site called Gate2Home “which lets everyone who gets stuck without the ability to write/type/search the internet in their own language be able to do just that (usually travelers/tourists or anyone in front of a foreign computer).”

Try a Babelfish in your ear…

Babelfish a popular service that forms the basis for many other sites as well for translations of languages.

The name comes from the famous series “The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy” by Douglas Adams, in which having one of these little fish stuck inside your ear allows you to understand any language.
