Since Microsoft is no longer supporting/updating Windows XP, you will be at increasing risk for viruses and other malware.

But what if your older PC can’t handle a newer version of Windows?

Answer: switch to the Linux operating system, and use the Mint version of it (which comes with the most popular add-ons already included).

Note: the “Cinnamon” interface is considered the closest Linux to Windows.
