Microsoft Outlook

[last updated 2009.5.27]

Microsoft Outlook is a commercial (pay) product, usually purchased as part of the Microsoft Office Suite.

Outlook Express, formerly included with various versions of the Windows operating system, has been replaced by Windows Live Mail.

Like many email clients, Outlook can access an online email system and download your email, send email through the online system, and act as an interface to the online system.  This can provide advantages to both you (faster work, more flexibility) and sometimes to the online system (reduced load on the email servers).

Using Outlook with LionsLink

FACULTY/STAFF: do NOT use these instructions for your Outlook; instead use the Help Desk instructions.

Outlook 2007 can be used with the campus LionsLink email system on your own computer (not publicly accessible computers).
