DrawAid tracing a top image to ease drawing

Posted on March 20, 2009. Filed under: Freeware/Shareware, Graphics | Tags: , , , , , |

MadFlame Software offers DrawAid.

Long ago, people would put a picture over a light source, put paper on top of that, and trace the picture onto the paper.  Glad those days are long gone?

DrawAid lets you put an image on your computer and use any painting tool (MS Paint, GIMP, PhotoShop, etc.) to draw over it and save the tracing to your painting software.

One note: NOD and McAfee (and possibly other malware detectors) may warn that this is malware.  This is apparently because a “Malicious scripter got the AutoIt script engine recognized as a virus” and now any other program that uses it gets tagged that way.  Check the information on the DrawAid site about this.
